On December 20, 2006 a rather severe Blizzard hit Colorado and surrounding states. It pretty much ground Colorado to a full stop. Please go to my trail blogging site (opens a new window) for a full description of the event.

Geoff Weatherford (geoffw) > Anyway, continuing on my walk ( I was making a large circle through the neighborhood). Actually, it was kinda pretty. No problem with having a white Christmas this year. If you peak through the trees, you can see the bumps in the snow are actually.........
Geoff Weatherford (geoffw) > ...........cars. They are not covered as thoroughly as the blizzard did when Josie was here. But, they ain't going nowhere for a while : )
Geoff Weatherford (geoffw) > Woodward Govenor's (across from the apartments) main entrance. Not much activity there today : )
Geoff Weatherford (geoffw) > Lots of people did not even bother coming outside at first. Stuck in front of the TV, I guess.
Geoff Weatherford (geoffw) > Another shot. This particular intersection caused a lot of trouble for 2 days. More on that.
Geoff Weatherford (geoffw) > Some people did have the ability to plow the sidewalks. Even though they couldn't drive their cars I guess it was better than nothing. Gave them a good feeling for having spent a lot of money on a snow machine that had been sitting in the garage collecting dust for a few years : )
