Geoff Weatherford (geoffw) > Not sure where they located the tractor, but whatever works : )
Geoff Weatherford (geoffw) > Here is a zoomed-in photo of people having fun : ) To be honest, I did not see anyone (not one single person) get upset the entire 2 days. They just got stuck, worked it out, then went on their way. When someone got stuck, all kinds of people (lots of teenagers) would grab shovels and go help them get unstuck and on their way. Pretty good. My back is still sore from helping a few people : )
Geoff Weatherford (geoffw) > Anyway, about that intersection/street I kept saying "more later"? Well, it was now Friday and people are expecting to be able to drive where they want to. Problem is, NONE of the streets have been plowed yet (except the major ones). So, you saw a lot of intersections with this type of a problem. Yes, there are some people stuck up ahead (more than one). And what happens is that makes the people behind them stop and then realize they are stuck when they attempt to drive forward. That snow is a gooey mess. Doesn't matter if you have 4 wheel drive or not (some seem to do better than others).
Geoff Weatherford (geoffw) > There's a pattern in all this.
Geoff Weatherford (geoffw) > I think he was having fun.
Geoff Weatherford (geoffw) > It was actually pretty warm (around 30 degrees F). This was a popular spot for both squirrels and birds. I managed to catch that one bird perfectly : ) Darn, just saw that there are not one, but two birds in flight. Cool.
Geoff Weatherford (geoffw) > Really nice fort.
Geoff Weatherford (geoffw) > Normal looking neighborhood street. By now there was usually a set of tracks down the middle of a street. You still saw people sliding off into the deep stuff and getting stuck. Delivery trucks didn't even need to slide off. They would just sit there with their wheels spinning.
Geoff Weatherford (geoffw) > Some people did have the ability to plow the sidewalks. Even though they couldn't drive their cars I guess it was better than nothing. Gave them a good feeling for having spent a lot of money on a snow machine that had been sitting in the garage collecting dust for a few years : )
