I'm close to where I took the prior photo, but now looking down the canyon. The river itself cuts though the meadows below right in front of me, and then continues along the right edge of the meadows (you can just see it through the branches of the dead tree on the right side of the photo). Really one of the prettiest areas of the entire hike, but, unfortunately, it is on private land. Legally (theoretically speaking, of course), I "think" a person could follow the stream (in the water) down through the private land. But, the ranchers would not be happy to find you doing that : ) If a person really wanted to go take pictures in the meadow, it would be much easier (and just plain more polite) just to go ask permission from the landowner.
